Headteachers beg gov’t to lift ban on artistes’ performances in schools

School head teachers and principals have requested the government to lift the ban on artistes performing in schools.

For a long time, different schools have been paying artistes to come and perform for students at different occasions like prom parties and others.

However, last year everything was put on hold after Sheebah entered the school and performed while she was indecently dressed.

Parents complained that they don’t want their children exposed to such things hence artistes getting banned from performing again in any schools.

Now that the year is beginning, head teachers have requested the government to reconsider allowing artistes to perform again in schools.

They said if they allow them, they will put strict rules, especially on dressing and students wouldn’t be exposed like they were previously.

Headteachers said students are very bored and they need something to take away their stress and also promote their mental well-being.

“We want the government to lift the ban on artists performing in schools to help students relieve stress and promote mental well-being. When they used to come students used to enjoy but now it is about books only without entertainment,”.
