Singer Azawi, born Priscilla Zawedde has come out to show concern over the proposed demolition of Lugogo Cricket Oval by the government.
The Swangz Avenue singer is not happy with the government for taking the local entertainment industry for granted as they were never consulted about the proposed redevelopment of Lugogo Cricket Oval.
It’s reported how the popular entertainment hub is set to be demolished by the government so as to set up an arena.
It must be remembered that Lugogo Cricket Oval famously accommodates music concerts for the arts and culture fraternity in Uganda as well as a determiner used by artistes to know their fan support by numbers given its vast land.
The ‘Teeba’ singer has henceforth raised up with many questions but hopeful few answers to the ruling government as to why such a development can be approved without the entertainers’ consent.

Lugogo cricket oval is going to be under reconstruction very soon for we don’t know how long, i hear the plan is to build an Arena.
Imagine this takes a couple of years,
where are we going to be hosting our concerts and Events for the meantime?”-Azawi
