Just like BLQ, Capital Chicken is yet another huge Ponzi scheme to hit the Ugandan Capital Markets after fleeing with billions of people’s investments.
However, Kira road police station and Kampala Central Police Station have recorded over 80 complaints from victims of this executive scam.
The number is expected to be more than 80 since two case files GEF 38/2023 and GEF 39/2023 have been opened at Kira Road and Kampala Central Police Station respectively.
Sources have said a retired security officer invested over 380 million Shillings while another retired civil servant invested 420 million Shillings in capital chicken.
When contacted, the retired officer who couldn’t hold back his tears revealed that he was lured by a friend into this investment.
“It’s a friend of mine who lured me into this but after a short period, I lost everything that I had saved. After crying, I saw it as something useless but instead, I started looking for solutions which later turned out positive,” he narrated.
